Ahh, Privacy Policies… The best part of every website. If you are actually reading this, we assume you are either a lawyer or someone with too much time on your hands. Anyways, here's the good news: we won't do any crazy stuff with your personal data: No tracking cookies, no unnecessary plugins or tons of third-party processors. Nice for a change, huh? Here's all you need to know:
We are VERITATE, five guys passionate about Metal Music. But more than that, we are joint controllers (no, that has nothing to do with a Playstation controller or weed) when we process your data. This is for example the case when you visit our website, order goods or services directly from us or when we take pictures or videos of the crowd at our concerts. Simply put, we are responsible whenever we decide if and how your data is processed.
Here is how you can reach out to us:
VERITATE GesbR

As a general rule, we only collect data that we absolutely need to. Here is an overview of the kind of data we process about you:
We collect the data you provide through the contact form on this website and any messages you send to our mail address, that is:
We process this data because we have a legitimate interest in replying to your message, e.g. if you want to buy tickets from us or want to know more about our upcoming shows. Look at it like this: How else would we be able to get back to you and answer your question if you didn't give us your mail address or told us what you want?
If there is no need to stay in contact with you anymore, we will delete the data you provided through the contact form and your mail messages. As a general rule, we filter our contact requests and messages once a year and then delete any requests or messages that are no longer relevant or necessary for us. However, in some cases we are legally obliged to store data for up to 7 years, for example data concerning orders and invoices. We will make sure to delete this data after the applicable legal retention period has expired.
You can also subscribe to our newsletter for regular updates on upcoming events and releases. Of course, we will need to process your mail address in order to inform you about these updates. We only do this after you have given your consent to receive our newsletter and after verifying your mail with a verification message.
You are free to unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. To do this, you just have to click on the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every newsletter message or you can contact us at info@veritate.at. After unsubscribing, we will store your mail address for an additional retention period of 6 months based on our legitimate interest to keep track of former subscriptions and demonstrate our compliance with applicable data protection laws in case of inquiries.
We need to ensure the security and functionality of our website. For this purpose, we need to have a general idea about our website visitors. This concerns the date and time of your access, your browser type, operating system and IP address. In the event of a security incident, this data is used to determine and eliminate the cause.
The data is stored for 12 months based on our legitimate interest to ensure the safety of our website. We do not process this data for marketing purposes.
During our live shows, we usually take some pictures and videos which we use for documentation and marketing purposes on this website and our social media pages. This may also include pictures and videos of you as part of the crowd. We inform visitors about this processing before the concert starts through notices at the entrances.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in documenting our concerts and maintaining our marketing presence. We will take your interests into account when selecting the material and will not use any images or videos in which you are shown in unflattering situations. We will also not use individual or close-up photos of you for marketing purposes without your consent.
As a general rule, we will store this media material as long as we maintain our marketing presence. However, we will make sure to delete media material that we don't need anymore or material that shows individual or close-up photos of crowd visitors.
We sell your data to the NSA and the Chinese Communist Party. Just kidding. As a general rule, we do not share your personal data with anyone else. However, there are a few exceptions:
We are using a hosting provider to host this website. This means that this website as well as any data that is submitted via the contact form on this website is stored on the servers of the hosting company. The providers above act as data processors. No need to worry though: Our providers are bound by so-called data processing agreements. A data processing agreement is a contract between us and the providers. According to this contract, the providers have certain obligations when it comes to the security and the sharing of your personal data with third parties.
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before we ask you any questions.
Jokes aside, under applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights:
If you want to make use of your data protection rights or if you just want to know more about how we process your data, feel free to contact us using the contact form on this website or message us via info@veritate.at. We would be happy to address your concerns.
Also, you have the right to contact the Austrian data protection authority if you think we are processing your data in breach of applicable data protection laws. Their email address is dsb@dsb.gv.at (tell them we said hi).
